Role: Lead UX Designer
AARP The Magazine is an American bi-monthly magazine, published by the American Association of Retired People, AARP, which focuses on aging issues.
AARP is a non-profit organization with a mission to enhance the quality of life for all as they age. AARP advocates for positive social change to its 38 million members through information, advocacy and service.
As the Lead UX Designer I was tasked with researching digital magazine content and publication processes. A large portion of time was determining UX strategy based on AARP's requirements, the content within their print publication, and the limitations of the technology. I developed a strategy that would allow AARP to publish multiple publications within a single interface, allow for digital downloads, and be available for a members only audience.
